T-shirt Designs with a difference. The Tom Furey Memorial Trust is a charity set up in loving memory of Tom Furey, a mountaineering prodigy in North Wales and the UK and one of my friends. Sadly, Tom passed away doing what he loved in 2021, leaving behind a legacy of passion and commitment to outdoor pursuits and a love of Gin. The core aim of the Tom Furey Memorial Trust is to continue Tom’s legacy of supporting people from all walks of life into accessing the mountains, whether that be for the mental and physical health benefits, personal enjoyment, a career or any one of the multitude of other reasons people enjoy spending time in the UK mountains, as well as further afield.
To create a series of T-Shirt designs that would encompass Tom's passion, personality and ethos, as well as creating an eye-catching visual that would create a sense of belonging for an event. The T-shirts will be sold to raise money for the charity. Every October, The Tom Furey Memorial Trust host a Furey Festival as a way to raise funds and bring people closer to Tom's memory in education, and access to the outdoors, for both those new to the mountains and for those who are experienced. The T Shirts have been designed to be sold at the festival, and each design has been thoughtfully designed. I worked closely with Tom's Fiancé to create a series of designs that would resonate with Tom's memory and hold the right sentiment, as well as being commercially desirable.
We wanted to create a brand to match the energy of this exciting new approach to dating, a zesty red to represent the passion for both hobbies, as well as romance.
An off-white cream that denotes a softer side to the dating industry, this is a brand that cares about it's customer. The importance of how the brand speaks to people is also reflected in the app flow and interface. Working with Clicked, we have designed the base of an app that flows, is easy and fun to use and above all helps bring the purpose of the brand to life, helping to build strong connections.
